About Us

Rainbow Knowledge is led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQA+ researchers, Aboriginal researchers, and LGBTQA+ researchers.

Our team is based in the Youth Mental Health Team, Telethon Kids Institute; Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre, Murdoch University; and Kurongkurl Katitjin, Edith Cowan University.

This project is overseen by a Youth Advisory Group made up of 10 young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander LBGTQA+ people, and a Governance Committee made up of 9 respected Aboriginal LGBTQA+ figures in the local community.

The Governance Committee oversees the Walkern Katatdjin project design, procedures, data management, and translation of findings to ensure meaningful impacts from the project.

Members of the Youth Advisory Group guide the research design, recruitment, data analysis, reports and publications and data management.

We are looking for people who are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQA+ mob to join our Governance Committee and Youth Advisory Group.
